BPSC Assistant Section Officer Mains Admit Card 2026 Released

Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has officially released the Assistant Section Officer (ASO) Mains Admit Card 2026 on 21 June 2026 at its official website bpsc.bihar.gov.in. Candidates who successfully cleared the Prelims examination held on 15 March 2026 and whose names appeared in the Prelims result declared on 30 April 2026 can now download their Mains hall ticket using their registration number and date of birth.

The BPSC ASO Mains Examination 2026 is scheduled to be conducted from 5 to 12 July 2026 at various examination centres across Bihar. The Mains exam consists of two papers — Paper 1 is General Studies with 100 questions of 200 marks and 2 hours duration, and Paper 2 is General Hindi & English with 100 marks and 2 hours duration. There is a negative marking of 1/4 mark for each wrong answer in both papers. Candidates are advised to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo identity proof (Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, or Passport) to the examination centre.

The total Mains examination carries 300 marks, and the interview will carry 50 marks. The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined performance in Mains and Interview, making it a total of 350 marks. The recruitment is being conducted to fill 74 Assistant Section Officer vacancies in the Bihar Secretariat. Candidates who clear the Mains will be called for the Interview, which is tentatively scheduled for October 2026.
