BPSSC Sub Inspector Mains Exam Result 2026 Declared

Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has officially declared the result for the Sub Inspector (SI) Mains Examination 2026 on 27 June 2026. The result PDF containing roll numbers of all candidates who have qualified for the next stage of selection — the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) — is now available for download from the official BPSSC website bpssc.bihar.gov.in. Candidates who appeared in the mains examination held on 18 May 2026 can check their selection status.

The BPSSC SI recruitment was notified on 21 January 2025 for a total of 1510 Sub Inspector vacancies in various wings of Bihar Police including Civil Police, Armed Police, and Specialized Units. The application window was open from 22 January to 21 February 2025. The Preliminary Examination was conducted on 15 March 2025, and its result was declared on 28 April 2025. Qualified candidates were then called for the Mains Examination which was held on 18 May 2026 across various centres in Bihar.

The Mains Examination consisted of two papers — Paper-I on General Studies (Hindi) of 200 marks and Paper-II on General Studies of 200 marks, totalling 400 marks. The duration of each paper was 2 hours. Each correct answer carried 2 marks with no negative marking. Candidates who have cleared the Mains Examination cutoff will now be called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST).
