The exam is scheduled to be held on 22 and 23 July 2026 in Computer Based Test mode across various centers in India.
UGC NET is conducted twice a year to determine eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges. The June 2026 session saw a massive number of applications from postgraduate students across the country. The exam city information was released on 13 July 2026, giving candidates enough time to plan their travel to the examination centers.
