UP PGT Final Result 2026 Declared - 624 Posts Selection List

Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Services Selection Board has officially declared the UP PGT Final Result 2026 on 07 July 2026 through its official website at upessc.up.gov.in. This result is for the Post Graduate Teacher recruitment conducted against 624 vacancies across various government inter colleges of Uttar Pradesh. The selection process started with the written examination held on 09 and 10 May 2026, followed by the interview round conducted from 15 to 27 June 2026 for candidates who cleared the written exam. The UP PGT recruitment is significant because of its sheer scale and the long journey candidates have been through. The original notification was issued way back in June 2022, and the written exam was postponed multiple times due to legal disputes over reservation policy and answer key controversies. Finally, when the exam was conducted in May 2026, more than 4 lakh candidates appeared for 624 posts across 26 subjects including Hindi, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Sanskrit, Urdu, Commerce, Agriculture, Military Science, Music, Art, Home Science, Physical Education, and others. The written result was declared on 02 June 2026 and approximately 6500 candidates were called for the interview round, which is roughly 10 candidates per post.

Selected candidates will be appointed as Post Graduate Teachers in government inter colleges across Uttar Pradesh at Pay Level 8 with a salary range of Rs 9300 to Rs 34800 per month plus Grade Pay of Rs 4800, along with Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and other allowances as per UP government norms. The appointment letters will be issued after document verification and police verification, which typically takes 2 to 3 months from the date of result declaration. • On the homepage, look for the Results or Important Notices section. Search for the link that reads UP PGT Final Result 2026 or Post Graduate Teacher Selection List 2026.
• Click on the result link. A PDF file containing the list of selected candidates with their roll numbers, names, and subject-wise category will open in a new tab.
• Download the PDF file to your device. Use the Ctrl+F search function to look for your roll number or name in the merit list. Take a printout if your name appears in the list.
• Check the category-wise cut-off marks also available on the website. This will help you understand the selection benchmark for your subject and category.
