UPSC Civil Services (IAS/IFS) Final Result 2026 - Name Wise List Out
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially declared the final result of the Civil Services Examination 2025-26 on 17 June 2026. The result has been released in two separate PDFs — one containing the names of selected candidates (name wise list) and another containing their roll numbers (roll number wise list). A total of 1009 candidates have been recommended for appointment to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other Central Services Group A and Group B. The result PDFs are available for download from the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.
The UPSC Civil Services Examination is one of the most prestigious and competitive examinations in India, conducted annually for selection to the elite civil services. The 2025-26 cycle included Preliminary Examination (25 May 2025), Mains Examination (12-17 September 2025), and Interview/Personality Test (15 January - 10 June 2026). The final merit list has been prepared based on the combined marks of Mains Examination (1750 marks) and Interview (275 marks), totalling 2025 marks. The marks of candidates will be available on the UPSC website within 15 days of the result declaration.
Selected candidates will be allotted services based on their rank in the merit list, category-wise reservation, and service preferences filled during the Detailed Application Form (DAF). The top-ranking candidates get IAS, followed by IFS, IPS, and other Central Services. The service allocation letter will be issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) within 2-3 weeks. Selected candidates will undergo a 2-year probation period at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie for IAS, and other academies for different services. The starting salary for IAS officers is Rs.56100 per month (Level 10) plus DA, HRA, and other allowances.
Sarkari Notice 247 congratulates all selected candidates of UPSC Civil Services 2025-26 and advises them to keep their original documents ready for verification. The DoPT will communicate the joining formalities, training schedule, and service allocation through email and post. Candidates who could not make it to the final list can check their individual marks on the UPSC website and start preparing for the next attempt. The UPSC Civil Services exam is highly competitive with a selection ratio of less than 0.2%, so persistence and continuous preparation are key to success.
