HP Police Constable Recruitment 2026 - 734 Posts Apply Online

Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission has officially released the HP Police Constable Recruitment 2026 notification on 09 July 2026 through its official website at hppsc.hp.gov.in. This is for the recruitment of 734 Police Constable vacancies across the state, out of which 491 posts are for Male candidates and 243 posts are for Female candidates. The online application process has started from 10 July 2026 and the last date to submit the application form is 06 August 2026, giving candidates almost a month to complete their registration. For male candidates, the PET includes running 100 metres in 15 seconds, 1500 metres in 6 minutes, high jump of 1.25 metres, and long jump of 3.5 metres. For female candidates, the standards are 100 metres in 18 seconds, 800 metres in 5 minutes, high jump of 1 metre, and long jump of 2.5 metres. The physical standard test (PST) requires male candidates to have a minimum height of 165 cm and chest measurement of 79 cm unexpanded and 84 cm expanded. Female candidates need a minimum height of 155 cm. Candidates from tribal areas of HP get relaxation of 5 cm in height and chest measurements.

Selected candidates will be appointed as Police Constables in the Himachal Pradesh Police Department at Pay Level 3 with a salary range of Rs 20200 to Rs 64000 per month, along with Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and other state government benefits. The job involves maintaining law and order, traffic management, crime prevention, VIP security, and various other policing duties across all 12 districts of Himachal Pradesh. The application fee is Rs 600 for all categories including SC, ST, and Female candidates, which is slightly higher than other state police recruitments but is justified by the career stability and social respect associated with police jobs. • Click on the apply online link. If you are a new user, complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process first with your basic details, mobile number, email ID, and Aadhaar number.
• After OTR, login using your registration number and password. Click on the Apply button next to the Police Constable 2026 notification to start filling the detailed application form.
