UPPSC PCS Pre Recruitment 2026 - 500 Posts Apply Online
Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has officially released the UPPSC PCS Pre Recruitment 2026 notification on 25 June 2026 through its official website at uppsc.up.nic.in. This is for the Combined Upper Subordinate Services examination 2026 against a total of 500 vacancies across various posts including Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Block Development Officer, District Supply Officer, Assistant Commissioner Commercial Tax, District Audit Officer, Registrar, Assistant Director Industries, District Marketing Officer, District Backward Classes Welfare Officer, and others. The online application process has started from 25 June 2026 and the last date to submit the application form is 27 July 2026, giving candidates a window of almost one month to complete their registration. Sarkari Notice 247 has been anticipating this notification for months, and the announcement of 500 posts has brought cheer to lakhs of UP aspirants who have been preparing for the state civil services examination.
The UPPSC PCS is often called the mini-IAS of Uttar Pradesh, and for good reason. Selected candidates get Pay Level 10 salary ranging from Rs 56100 to Rs 132000 per month, along with Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance, and other state government benefits. Beyond the monetary compensation, what attracts candidates is the administrative power and social prestige associated with posts like Deputy Collector (SDM) and DSP. The selection process is rigorous and involves three stages - Preliminary Examination (objective type, qualifying), Main Examination (descriptive, 6 papers), and Interview (100 marks). The preliminary exam is expected to be conducted in October or November 2026, mains in February 2027, and interviews in May-June 2027, with final result likely by August 2027.
What makes UPPSC PCS slightly different from UPSC Civil Services is the inclusion of Hindi as a compulsory language paper in Mains, the option to choose Hindi as medium of instruction for all papers, and the focus on UP-specific topics in General Studies. Candidates from UP background with strong Hindi writing skills have a definite advantage in the mains examination. SJN 2026 advises aspirants to start their preparation well in advance, focus on NCERT books for basics, read newspapers daily for current affairs, and practice answer writing regularly. The application fee is quite nominal at Rs 125 for General category, Rs 65 for SC/ST, and Rs 25 for Divyang candidates, which makes it accessible to candidates from all economic backgrounds. Sarkari Notice 247 will provide regular updates on exam date, admit card, answer key, and result announcements as and when released by the commission.
