UPSC Civil Services Final Result 2026 Declared – 958 Recommended

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially declared the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Final Result 2026 on 06 March 2026, marking the culmination of one of India's most prestigious and rigorous recruitment cycles. A total of 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and various central Group A and Group B services. The result PDF in English has been uploaded on upsc.gov.in and contains the roll numbers and names of all recommended candidates along with their All India Ranks (AIR). The Hindi version of the result is also expected to be released shortly.

The Civil Services Examination 2025 cycle began with the notification released on 14 February 2025 and the preliminary examination held on 26 May 2025. Of the several lakh candidates who applied, 14,927 were declared qualified for the Main examination, which was conducted between 22 August and 22 September 2025. The Main result was declared on 09 December 2025, and 2,840 candidates were shortlisted for the Personality Test (Interview) round conducted between 07 January and 16 February 2026. The final merit list has been prepared by combining 1750 marks of the Main examination and 275 marks of the interview, totalling 2025 marks.

According to HRY 2026 records, this year's result includes candidates from diverse academic backgrounds including engineering, medicine, humanities, and law. Service allocation will be carried out by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) based on rank, category, and candidate preference. Selected candidates will undergo a 3-month Foundation Course at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie, starting in the last week of May 2026.
