AIIMS B.Sc (Hons) Nursing Admission 2026 Notification Released

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi has officially released the online application form for B.Sc (Hons) Nursing Admission 2026 on 17 June 2026. Eligible candidates who have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) can now apply online through the official AIIMS exam portal at aiimsexams.ac.in. The last date to apply is 10 July 2026. The entrance examination is tentatively scheduled for 02 August 2026 in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

A total of 5731 B.Sc (Hons) Nursing seats are available across various AIIMS institutions in India including AIIMS New Delhi, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, AIIMS Bhopal, AIIMS Jodhpur, AIIMS Rishikesh, AIIMS Raipur, AIIMS Patna, and other newer AIIMS. The B.Sc (Hons) Nursing is a 4-year undergraduate degree program approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). After successful completion, candidates can work as registered nurses in hospitals, clinics, community health centers, and other healthcare settings, or pursue higher studies like M.Sc Nursing.

To be eligible for AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Admission 2026, candidates must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as main subjects from a recognised board. The minimum marks required are 55% for General/OBC candidates and 50% for SC/ST candidates in the aggregate of PCB. The age limit is 17 to 25 years as on 31 December 2026, with age relaxation as per Government of India rules for reserved categories. Candidates appearing in 12th examination in 2026 can also apply provisionally.

Sarkari Notice 247 advises all aspiring nursing candidates to apply early to avoid last-minute rush on the AIIMS exam portal. The entrance exam will have 100 objective type questions of 100 marks in 2 hours, with each correct answer carrying 1 mark and each wrong answer carrying a penalty of 1/3 mark (negative marking). The exam will cover four sections — Physics (30 questions), Chemistry (30 questions), Biology (30 questions), and General Knowledge (10 questions). The medium of the exam is English only. Candidates who qualify the entrance exam will be called for counselling based on their merit rank, where they can choose their preferred AIIMS institution.
