CSIR UGC NET June 2026 Application Correction Window Closing Today
National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the application correction window for the Joint CSIR UGC NET Examination June 2026, and today (23 June 2026) is the final day to make any changes to your application form. Candidates who have already submitted their application but need to correct personal details, photograph, signature, category, or subject selection should immediately visit the official portal at csirnet.nta.ac.in and complete the correction process before the window closes this evening.
The CSIR UGC NET examination is conducted for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and determining eligibility for Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges in five science subjects — Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences. The June 2026 session examination is tentatively scheduled for 14-15 July 2026 in Computer Based Test mode across various examination centres in India.
The exam consists of a single paper of 3 hours duration with 120 questions worth 200 marks. Paper 1 (General Aptitude) has 20 questions of 30 marks and is common for all subjects, while Paper 2 (Subject Specific) has 100 questions of 150 marks. There is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. The application fee ranges from Rs.325 for SC/ST/PwD candidates to Rs.1150 for General/OBC candidates, and was already paid at the time of original application submission.
Candidates are advised to review their application carefully before the correction window closes. Once the window closes today, no further changes will be entertained by NTA under any circumstances. The exam city intimation slip is expected to be released around 5 July 2026, followed by the admit card approximately 10 days before the exam date.
