NEET UG 2026 Official Answer Key Released by NTA

National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the provisional answer key for NEET UG 2026 on 25 June 2026 on its dedicated portal neet.nta.nic.in. The exam was conducted on 21 June 2026 from 02:00 PM to 05:15 PM across 557 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. More than 23 lakh candidates had appeared in this single-stage medical entrance test, and now they can download the answer key PDF for their respective question paper code and calculate their expected score.

The provisional answer key contains correct answers for all 180 questions asked in the NEET UG 2026 exam across four sets (A, B, C, D). NTA has also released the candidate response sheet (OMR sheet) along with the answer key, so that candidates can cross-verify their marked answers against the official answer key. To calculate the expected score, candidates should award +4 marks for each correct answer and deduct -1 mark for each incorrect answer. Unattempted questions carry no marks.

NTA has opened the objection window for candidates who wish to challenge any answer in the provisional key. The objection window will remain open till 27 June 2026 up to 11:50 PM. Candidates need to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs.200 per objection challenged. The objections will be reviewed by a subject expert panel, and if found valid, the final answer key will be revised accordingly. The final answer key and NEET UG 2026 result are expected to be declared in the first week of July 2026.

Sarkari Notice 247 advises all candidates to carefully review the provisional answer key and raise objections only when they are confident about a particular answer being wrong. The final answer key will be the basis for result calculation, and no further objections will be entertained after the final key is published. Candidates should also keep checking the official NEET portal for counselling schedule updates which will begin after the result declaration.
