RBI Officer Grade B Recruitment 2026 Notification Released

Reserve Bank of India (RBI), India's central banking institution, has officially released the recruitment notification for the Officer Grade B posts for the year 2026 on 18 June 2026. A total of 94 vacancies have been notified across three streams — General (66 posts), DEPR (Department of Economic and Policy Research, 14 posts), and DSIM (Department of Statistics and Information Management, 14 posts). The last date to apply is 08 July 2026.

The RBI Officer Grade B position is one of the most prestigious and sought-after banking jobs in India, offering an opportunity to work at the apex banking institution of the country. Selected candidates will join as Grade B Officers and will be responsible for various functions including economic policy formulation, banking supervision, currency management, foreign exchange management, and other central banking operations. The pay scale for Grade B Officers starts at Rs.55200 per month (Level 8) with basic pay Rs.55200-99750, plus DA, HRA, and other allowances, taking the gross monthly emolument to approximately Rs.1.1 lakh.

To be eligible for RBI Grade B (General), candidates must have a Graduation degree in any stream with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD). For Grade B DEPR, candidates need a Post Graduation in Economics or PGDM with specialization in Economics. For Grade B DSIM, candidates need a Post Graduation in Statistics or Mathematics. The age limit is 21 to 30 years as on 01 May 2026, with age relaxation as per RBI rules for reserved categories. Candidates who are already employed in any government or PSU job are not eligible to apply.
