RPSC RAS Pre 2026 New Exam Date Announced - Check Revised Schedule

Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has officially announced the new exam date for the Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) Preliminary Examination 2026 on 03 July 2026. The exam was originally scheduled for 27 July 2025 but was postponed. Now the new exam date has been set as 20 July 2026. The RPSC RAS recruitment was notified on 10 June 2025 for a total of 607 vacancies across various state administrative services including Deputy Collector, DSP, RAS, RFS, ARS, and other posts. The application window was open from 10 June to 09 July 2025. The preliminary examination is the first stage of the selection process and is of qualifying nature. The main examination and interview will determine the final merit list. The pay scale for RAS officers starts at Rs.56100 per month (Level 10) plus DA, HRA, and other allowances.

The RAS Preliminary Examination will have 150 objective type questions of 150 marks in 3 hours, with each correct answer carrying 1 mark and each wrong answer carrying a penalty of 1/3 mark (negative marking). The exam covers History, Art & Culture, Geography, Polity, Economy, Science, and General Knowledge of Rajasthan and India. The medium of examination is both Hindi and English. Candidates who clear the prelims cutoff will be eligible to appear in the mains examination, which is tentatively scheduled for October 2026.
