UPPSC GIC Lecturer Provisional Answer Key 2026 Released

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released the provisional answer key for the GIC (Government Inter College) Lecturer Recruitment Examination 2026 on 21 June 2026 at its official website uppsc.up.nic.in. The written examination was conducted on 15-16 June 2026 across various examination centres in Uttar Pradesh for the recruitment of 527 Lecturer posts in different subjects including Hindi, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, and others.

The answer key has been released separately for each subject and each set (Set A, B, C, D). Candidates who appeared in the written examination can now download the answer key PDF from the UPPSC website and match their marked responses with the official answers to calculate their expected score. The written exam had 2 papers — Paper 1 was subject-specific with 120 questions of 300 marks, and Paper 2 was General Studies with 120 questions of 300 marks. There is a negative marking of 1/3 mark for each wrong answer.

The UPPSC has also activated the objection window for candidates who wish to challenge any answer in the provisional key. The last date to raise objections is 28 June 2026. Candidates need to pay an objection fee of Rs.50 per question and must submit supporting documentary evidence for each challenged answer. After considering all valid objections, the UPPSC will release the final answer key in July 2026, followed by the result declaration in August 2026 (tentative).

Candidates who score above the cutoff in the written exam will be called for the Interview round, which carries 100 marks. The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined performance in Written Exam (600 marks) and Interview (100 marks), making it a total of 700 marks.
