UPPSC PCS Pre 2026 Last Date Extended – Apply Now till 03 August
Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has officially extended the last date for online application for the UPPSC PCS Pre 2026 (Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services Examination 2026) to 03 August 2026. Originally scheduled to close on 27 July 2026, the deadline has been extended in response to numerous requests from candidates who faced technical issues on the portal during the last few days. Eligible candidates who have not yet applied can now submit their online application at uppsc.up.nic.in before the extended deadline. The Commission has also extended the exam fee payment deadline to 03 August 2026 and the form correction window to 06 August 2026.
This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 500 vacancies across various state services including Provincial Civil Service (PCS), Deputy Collector, DSP, BDO, DSP, Assistant Commissioner Commercial Tax, District Marketing Officer, and several other Group A and B posts under the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The Preliminary Examination is scheduled to be conducted on 12 October 2026 (Sunday) in two sessions across various examination centres in UP and other major cities of India. The selection process consists of three stages — Preliminary Examination (objective, 2 papers, qualifying nature), Main Examination (descriptive, 8 papers, marks counted for merit), and Interview (100 marks). The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of Main Examination marks + Interview marks. Candidates who clear the Preliminary Examination will be eligible to appear in the Main Examination, which is expected to be conducted in December 2026 or January 2027. The Prelims syllabus covers History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Science, Current Affairs, and Uttar Pradesh Special topics.

How to Apply for UPPSC PCS Pre 2026 Online
- Visit the official UPPSC website at uppsc.up.nic.in.
- Click on the “Apply Online” link in the top navigation menu.
- Register with your name, father’s name, mobile number, and email — note down the registration number and password.
- Login with your registration number and password to fill the detailed application form.
- Upload scanned photograph, signature, and other required documents in the prescribed format.
- Pay the examination fee through SBI MOPS portal (Net Banking / UPI / Card / E-Challan) before 03 August 2026.
- Submit the form, take a printout, and keep it safely for future reference — no need to send hard copy to UPPSC.
