UPSSSC Vidhan Bhawan Guard and Fireman Syllabus 2026 Released

Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has officially released the syllabus for the Vidhan Bhawan Guard and Fireman Recruitment Examination 2026 under Advt No. 09-Exam/2026 on 09 June 2026. A total of 170 vacancies have been notified for Vidhan Bhawan Guard and Fireman/Fire Guard posts in the Uttar Pradesh State Legislature. Candidates who are preparing for the examination can now download the official syllabus PDF along with the latest exam pattern from the UPSSSC website at upsssc.gov.in. Today (29 June 2026) is the last date to apply online.

The UPSSSC Vidhan Bhawan Guard and Fireman recruitment is being conducted to fill 170 vacancies which include 120 posts of Vidhan Bhawan Guard and 50 posts of Fireman/Fire Guard. These are Group C posts in the Uttar Pradesh State Legislature, located in Lucknow. Selected candidates will be responsible for security of the Vidhan Bhawan premises, crowd management during assembly sessions, fire safety duties, and other security-related work as assigned by the authorities. The pay scale for these posts ranges from Rs.19900 to Rs.63200 per month (Level 3) plus DA, HRA, and other allowances as per UP Government rules.

To be eligible for UPSSSC Vidhan Bhawan Guard and Fireman 2026, candidates must have qualified UPSSSC PET 2025 examination and passed 10+2 (Intermediate) from a recognised board. The age limit is 18 to 40 years as on 01 July 2026, with age relaxation as per UP Government rules for reserved categories (OBC +5 Years, SC/ST +5 Years). Candidates should also meet the physical standards specified in the notification including height (165 cm for male, 157 cm for female), chest measurement (79-84 cm for male candidates), and other physical requirements. The application fee is just Rs.25 for all categories.

Sarkari Notice 247 advises all eligible candidates to apply immediately as today is the last date. The selection process includes a Mains Written Examination followed by Physical Standard Test (PST), Document Verification, and Medical Examination. The Mains exam will have 100 objective type questions of 100 marks in 2 hours with no negative marking. The exam will cover Hindi (30 questions), General Knowledge (25 questions), Reasoning (25 questions), and Maths (20 questions). The detailed subject-wise topics are mentioned in the syllabus PDF available on the UPSSSC website. Candidates should focus on Hindi and General Knowledge sections as they have higher weightage.
